Come celebrate with local TTU students, family, and alumni and cheer on The Masked Rider!
As part of Texas Tech University’s Centennial Celebration, the university will be participating in the 2023 Fiesta San Antonio: Battle of Flowers Parade on April 28. TTU and the Texas Tech Alumni Association San Antonio Chapter invite our alumni and friends to come out and support the university during the event. Texas Tech’s parade entry will celebrate its 100-year history with a Centennial Celebration float featuring Texas Tech royalty, including former Homecoming Kings and Queens, as well as an appearance from the Masked Rider.
The Battle of Flowers Parade is free to anyone who wants to join along the parade route, but TTU and TTAA are also offering a special VIP package that includes exclusive seating at the watch party location in Madison Square Park, along with all-you-can-eat and drink for $100 per person. Tickets can be purchased by clicking the button at the top of the page. Ticket sales end April 7, so get yours today! Catering for the event is provided by Black Tie Affairs.
Those who purchase tickets will pick up their wristbands at the door and must show identification. Parking information will be available soon.
The Battle of Flowers is part of the city-wide celebration known as “Fiesta” that began in 1891 to honor the heroes of the Alamo and Battle of San Jacinto. The celebration runs from April 20-30 and includes a variety of events.
Another tradition of Fiesta is the Fiesta Medal. Each year the TTAA San Antonio Chapter creates a unique piece for Red Raiders and friends to wear and collect. The 2023 medal design reflects the Centennial Celebration of Texas Tech and can be purchased through the TTAA for $20.00. All proceeds benefit the TTAA San Antonio Chapter to support scholarships for area students to attend Texas Tech.
